Where do my ideas come from?

I usually generate my ideas from nature. The outdoors external stimulation everyday leaves impressions in my art work. Places with many color, smells, and people get my creativity flowing. When I visit places in nature I take pictures to journal and document my work. I like to capture my ideas as they develop.

I feel connected with the universe through meditation and learning about the world we live in. I create new innovative work and capture the essence of my ideas come to life in my mind then while walking in the park, traveling in the car, or talking to friends. Up pops the ideas.

"Progressive art can assist people to learn not only about the objective forces at work in the society in which they live, but also about the intensely social character of their interior lives. Ultimately, it can propel people toward social emancipation."
